Our approach can be used not only for housing, but for any structure. We call our philosophy Ubiquian, which, in basic terms, means, "A system that may be universally applied."

By utilizing state-of-the-art technology, combined with traditional construction methods, we have attained our Ubiquian vision. Our FOMCON building system is the realization of our goal to build affordable structures that can be applied to many designs and applications.

Affordability

Affordability plays a vital roll in our Ubiquian philosophy. How else can we deliver a product line which addresses as many needs to such a broad range of applications? "Thou shalt be affordable" is the phrase from which we derive, design, and implement our building solutions.

We have designed our component systems so they can be adapted to nearly any building design. Due to the lightweight nature of the materials used, and the minimal space required to transport the components of our FOMCON building system, costs associated with shipping are very low compared with traditional building materials. The components are also designed so they can be field erected quickly and efficiently with a minimum crew of modest skills in 1/8 the time of that required by conventional construction techniques.

These factors, and a lower initial cost, significantly reduce the cost of the final product. From packaging to final product, short-term vs. long-term costs, it is our mission to deliver products that address a vast array of needs at the lowest cost. Our FOMCON building system meets these requirements.

Ecology & the Environment

Only those products that are fabricated from the highest percentage of recycled materials, and provide the greatest degree of living comfort for the occupants with minimal impact to the environment, are selected for use in our buildings.

Worldwide Structures' FOMCON building systems utilize components that are manufactured with a high percentage of recycled materials:

• Aluminum - for panels, extrusions and trim.
• Steel - for the top plate, trusses and doors.
• Recycled paper - for the ceiling panels.
• HVAC sizing - is lowered significantly, resulting in a major reduction in consumption of fossil fuels.

Worldwide Structures' approach to foundation anchoring avoids the usual method of major earth moving or the need to drill holes for the placement for footings. By utilizing Helical Piers , footings are placed for maximum support with minimum disruption of the supported structure. In environmentally sensitive tundra areas, the highly insulated FOMFLOOR prevents the transfer of heat to the ground beneath the building.

Efficiency

The core design feature that separates our FOMCON building systems from others is the speed in which attractive and affordable structures can be built. All without compromise and without traditional constraints.

Insulation values are R35 for the walls, R40 for the ceiling and R38 for the floor. The result is a building system that uses far less energy to heat and cool, resulting in not only lowered cost, but reduced use of fossil fuels. These buildings qualify for the highest energy rating.

During shipment, the compact and lightweight nature of these structures not only reduce overall costs involved in shipping, it also allows more units to be shipped. This, along with the additional benefit of rapid construction, is an example of how we apply efficiency to all aspects of our company.
